Dr. Julian Hilton
Chairman AMC; Policy Formation, Systems Implementation and Knowledge Management
Dr. Hilton has been Chairman of AMC since incorporation. He has over 25 years of senior management and consulting experience in both Europe and the United States , in both public and private sectors. He has worked in the public with clients such as WHO, FAO, IAEA, the EU, USDA and with a number of Departments in Florida including Health, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs and Elder Affairs; and he has worked in the private sector with clients such as GlaxoSmithKline, BristolMyersSquibb, Merial, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Philips, Solvay and ZAO. He is currently co-Principal Investigator on projects with the Florida Institute of Phosphate Research. In the 1980s as a tenure track Professor, he led a number of EU funded research and development projects in medical- and bio-informatics. In the 1990s he left academia and co-founded and developed the AleffGroup, of which AMC is a part; he is now Group Chairman. Since the late 1990s he has specialized in policy formation, systems implementation and knowledge management in a wide variety of settings. He has particular expertise in working in the life-science sector – pharmaceuticals, food, elder care and health services, and animal health where he has been responsible for leading a number of highly successful projects, many with a focus on best practices, regulatory compliance and quality assurance. He is widely published and is a regular speaker at international conferences and workshops.
