AMC History: 2001-2005

Strategic technology plan to implement professional Association’s global vision
2001-2002, AMC led the effort approved by the board of a major international professional association to use the web to build out its global organization and service delivery. This led to a major phase of membership expansion, with associated revenue growth. Three years on, the plan, and the technology platform, has proven to be very durable, and AMC has been asked back to do more. Services provided include:

  • Strategic planning and suitability assessment
  • User requirements capture for the new global management system
  • Assistance in evaluating and selecting the best suited software vendor
  • Assistance with project planning and management during the implementation
  • Acceptance testing and go-live support.

Perhaps the most significant return on investment delivered to the client was transforming process workers into high value-add, knowledge workers.

QA, Testing, Change Control, and Production Support for large financial services company: leads to PeopleSoft “Financials” upgrade
2003, AMC assisted a very large financial services company engaged in upgrading its financial system to PeopleSoft 8.0.  Services included:

  • QA on design documents
  • creating test requirements and a testing strategy
  • test script writing
  • improving the change control system
  • production support.

“Fit gap” analysis for a large University Consortium
2003-2004, AMC led a “fit gap” analysis for “Projects, Assets, and Inventory” for a large consortium of Universities, leading to a PeopleSoft 8.4 implementation.

State government web portal – services for seniors
2003-2004, AMC assisted a state agency to implement a new government program for seniors.  AMC was brought into the project and assisted with methodology identification to create an integrated front office and back office web portal.  AMC also assisted in the statewide training rollout to the new participants, and assisted the department in user acceptance testing, and created specifications to take the system from a pilot system to an enterprise system.

Design, configuration, and implementation - PeopleSoft 8.4
2004, AMC led the fitgap and design / configuration phases for a PeopleSoft “Projects and Assets” implementation at a large university using PeopleSoft 8.4.

Design, implementation, and training services
2004, AMC was able to rapidly finalize the design and implement a major west coast public sector client’s new Asset Management and Capital Projects processes utilizing the PeopleSoft 8.4 Projects and Assets modules. This task was conducted within the context of a wider business process optimization project, conducted in parallel with an upgrade to PeopleSoft 8.4.

Testing coordination/ leadership for a large statewide PeopleSoft 8.8 implementation, including software configuration services
2004-2005, AMC coordinated various system test cycles for a large statewide PeopleSoft 8.8 implementation.   AMC assisted in:

  • creating the testing vision
  • defect resolution
  • end to end tests that integrated with non-PeopleSoft systems. 

AMC also provided resources to assist in software module configuration.

Requirements capture and project management - new web portal company
2004-2005, AMC specified requirements, identified key stakeholders, provided expert resources, and management services for a new web-based diet and lifestyle portal, launched April 2005.

AMC was able to assist client in the creation of a multimedia expert knowledgebase.

AMC provides Value Added Reseller services
Provided local representation for the client in assisting their efforts to develop multimedia based products.  Also assisted clients in marking and selling their products and services at events and to direct customers.
