Information Structure Assessment
The Client
The City of Albuquerque selected PeopleSoftTM to support the city in decision making and execution of city goals and objectives, and necessary back office accounting, to provide stakeholders with the necessary management tools and information needed to support the cities activities.
AMC’s Role
AMC Infomediaries conducted a chartfield assessment to review the city's information architecture around project based work.
Key Objectives
The key objectives of the pilot were to:
- Identify key information structures and assess risk and suitability of PeopleSoft Chartfields to meet the City Meta Data needs.
Methodology
Working with SkybridgeGlobal, Inc, AMC reviewed key information systems and reports, and identified 3 key areas of information.
- Financial Management
- Human Capital Management
- Project Management
AMC identified potential functional areas that could use PeopleSoft, and provided a high level information architecture assessment for project management and strategic planning
Lessons Learned
- Look at end to end and short term solutions to keep stakeholders happy.
- Use of web based tools can significantly assist the project team in collaborations.
